Apprentices

Everyone has to learn somewhere, so why not apprentice with the best? Your safety is the number one priority on our project sites and we will support your training and development needs.

 

By doing your apprenticeship with Derantech, you will:

 

• Gain practical, hands-on experience from highly skilled journeypersons

• Fulfill the requirements needed to become a certified journeyperson yourself

• Have opportunities for full-time employment at the end of your apprenticeship

Derantech believes the inclusion of the youth in ongoing development of our business and growth is paramount. Training the youth for career development goals with a strong focus on cultural preservation is crucial to this next generation. We provide a broad range of career opportunities with mentoring that is second to none our approach has proven innovative and very successful.

 

Our employment program focuses on training entry level positions to youth across Turtle Island in the Wood Buffalo Region. Our long term focus is to mobilize n utilize an untapped resource for future projects and Sustainable development that is needed in our country and requested from our Clients. 
 

We work with and recruit from Alberta Aboriginal Apprenticeships, Women building futures, Building Trades to name a few. We have a great support system and have a great working model for apprenticeship development. We also recognize that there are those in management, Journeymen and subcontractors with years of experience that have shared Derantech’s vision and proved successful in their respective professions and our projects to date. As we challenge ourselves on bigger projects our clients can take great satisfaction and be rest assured that our devotion to our work is our reputation that we take very seriously.
